Kitchen & Market

The Moose Exchange Community Kitchen has full Pa. Dept. of Agriculture certification, and we invite YOU to rent time in this fully-equipped shared-use kitchen.

We have renovated the space to help local entrepreneurs develop and build their successful food businesses, including cooking and baking, catering, and teaching. We also welcome non-profit groups and individuals to use the kitchen for their food-preparation needs, whether baking for a fundraiser, canning from the garden, or bringing friends together for an evening of cooking and eating.

You can schedule everything from one time for one hour to regular, recurring time slots. The Exchange makes the kitchen available on a first-come, first-reserved basis. In addition to the $15/hour fee, users pay a $300 deposit, returned at the end of tenancy provided no damages have occurred. Community Kitchen users may be required to have a Food Handler’s certification, liability insurance, and any other required licensing to conduct business; call us with questions.

To receive an application form for reserving time in the kitchen, please contact us at 203kitchen@gmail.com or by phone at 570-317-2596.

The Moose Exchange Community Market

Buy Fresh and Buy Local! The Market features locally-grown fruits and vegetables, breads and other baked goods, meats, eggs, cheeses, soups, and coffees as well as art, craft, wool, and more. After you shop, enjoy your purchases in the Grille Room with your friends and neighbors. Get to know where your food comes from and the people who produce it. The Market will open for its Fall 2012 season on Saturdays from the 3rd of November through the 22nd of December, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

We have other activities that happen here on Saturdays, including open bowling; check our Calendar and News pages for more. See you at the Market!
