Blues on the street on November 25th!

On Friday, the 25th of November, in conjunction with the annual tree-lighting and WHLM’s “Parade of Lights”, The Exchange will host music and art in its Gallery at 24 East Main Street as well as outdoors on Miller Avenue. Immediately following the lighting, in front of the New Bloomsburg Diner, The Exchange will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony: Founding board member Drue Magee will cut the ribbon officially opening the space, now completely renovated and serving as The Exchange’s headquarters and home of its Exchange Gallery.

After the parade passes, the popular regional Blues band Nate Myers & The Aces will perform, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., on Miller Avenue, around the corner from The Exchange, free to all, while Fog & Flame Coffee & Espresso and Rose Marie’s Restaurant will provide food, drink, and seating.

Also immediately following the parade, sales open for The Exchange Gallery’s third annual “Cash & Carry” show: more than 300 pieces of art, all priced at $25, made by people throughout our community, from art professors to grade-school children. These pieces make excellent holiday gifts. On each trip through the line, a buyer can choose ONE of the pieces, then must get back in line to buy another; this keeps the selection exciting for ALL buyers. In addition, The Exchange will hold a silent auction of collectibles including the very last “Moose mug”. As with all of Exchange Gallery receptions, the organization will provide light refreshments.
