On Saturday evening, the 3rd of November, the Moose Exchange will host our first murder-mystery-dessert fundraising event. Without a Cue Productions, based in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, will provide the entertainment, an audience-participation mystery called “Greased!” This special evening will give you the opportunity to help bring a murderer to justice while you enjoy some of the best desserts our area has to offer: cupcakes, éclairs, tarts, brownies, cookies, and more. In addition, your participation will help support the Moose Exchange, Main Street’s arts and community center.
When you enter the Grille Room, you will be transported to the 1950s, greeted by professional actors in period clothing. While you walk around and mingle with the other guests, you will have the opportunity to pick up scattered clues and ask any of the actors any questions that occur to you. You and your table-mates will discuss the clues and the answers to your questions. During the performances, you may be chosen to act in a scene, help judge a contest, or provide a clue. Somewhere in the midst of all the excitement, a murder will be committed!
Dress to impress as you play Sherlock Holmes for a night — or perhaps Danny Zuko, Sandy Dumbrowski, or Betty Rizzo — and figure out who the murderer is. We’ll have music before and after the show — stay and dance a while! — and soft drinks, coffee, and a cash bar. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the main event will start promptly at 7:30. We have only 150 seats available; at $25, tickets will go quickly. Come on down and enjoy a 1950s night of murder, mystery, and desserts. You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind event!! Call 570-317-2596 to reserve your tickets now.
Table sponsors include the Columbia Montour Visitors Bureau and First Columbia Bank & Trust.
