BU Senior Artist Exhibit through February 5, 2012

The Stairwell Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of work created by senior art students from Bloomsburg University. The exhibition features a variety of art making practices including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and digital. Students in the show are: Megan Combs, Olivia DeFranco, Rachel Etzweiler, Kelly Geist, Kyle Gosson, Ralph Hinkle, Lena Kurtz, Brittney Logan, Tyann McGinn, Nemi Moyer, Natalie Nickol, Melanie Ortiz, Erika Quinter and Keith Seaman. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, February 4th between 2pm – 5pm in conjunction with “A Taste of the Arts,” the university’s new Center for Visual and Performing Arts collaborative event at the Moose Exchange. Please stop by the Stairwell Gallery to see what senior art students from the Department of Art & Art History are up to. The exhibition is free and open to the public and will remain on view through Sunday, February 5th. 

A Taste of the Arts Filled Many Appetites

B.U.’s Center for Visual and Performing Arts provided over 400 local residents and students with “A Taste of the Arts” at the Moose Exchange on February 4th. Students and faculty from the College of Liberal Arts put a large sample of their hard work and talents on display for the public to enjoy.

Senior Art Student Exhibit

Senior art students from Bloomsburg University displayed their work at the Stairwell Gallery on February 4th and 5th. In conjunction with A Taste of the Arts, a Center for Visual and Performing Arts event, the exhibit was enjoyed by several hundred local residents and students.

Black&White in Gallery 102

Gallery 102 has opened a new exhibit, Black&White — an intriguing mix of lithographs, drawings, paintings, calligraphy, digital prints, sculpture and photography. The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday, 12-6 pm; Saturday, 10 am-2 pm.

School Holiday Bowling Bowls ‘Em Over

Scores of people came to the Moose Exchange on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day for open bowling. They bowled dozens of games, ate six and a half pizzas, drank more than four gallons of soda and water, and had FUN! You can have fun in the alley too, during our open bowling on Fridays and Saturdays and on the next school holiday — Presidents’ Day in February. Don’t miss it!
